About Tour

Journey to the Heart of the Silk Road – Uzbekistan Tour, a Path of Merchants, Scholars, Armies, Ideas, Religions, and Cultures.

Travel Programme

Day 1: Istanbul to Tashkent Overnight Flight

Our tour begins with a meeting at the Reviva Tourism Desk at Istanbul Airport. After completing ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we board Turkish Airlines flight TK 368 to Tashkent at 00:55.

Day 2: Tashkent Tour

We arrive at Tashkent Airport at 07:10, where we are transferred to the city center by private vehicle. Without wasting time, we start exploring the Silk Road and Uzbekistan, including its markets, streets, cuisine, history, and cultural heritage. In Tashkent, where traditional Central Asian architecture, Islamic architecture, and modern urban planning coexist harmoniously, we visit:

  • Emir Timur Square and Independence Square
  • Barakhan Medrese
  • Kaffal-i Shashi Medrese
  • Hazreti Imam Complex, which houses an original Quran manuscript from the time of Hazrat Osman, located at the Uzbekistan Presidency of Religious Affairs
  • Juma Mosque, one of the country’s largest mosques
  • Free time for shopping at “Oloy Bazaar,” one of Tashkent’s most important markets
  • Dinner and free time in Tashkent

Day 3: Farewell to Tashkent, Journey to Urgench and Khiva

We spend the night at our hotel in Tashkent. In the morning at 07:25, we depart for Urgench by local airlines. Upon arrival in Urgench, we continue our historical journey with a drive to Khiva.

Places to visit in Khiva, selected as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2020:

  • Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum
  • Juma Mosque and Minaret
  • Islam Hoja Medrese and Minaret
  • Kalta Minor
  • Ark Fortress
  • Al-Sheikh Dede
  • Allah Kulu Khan Medrese
  • Muhammed Emin Khan
  • Muhammed Rahim Khan Medrese
  • Shirgazi Khan Medrese
  • Pahlavan-Dervaze Gate
  • Tashkale Caravanserai

After completing our Khiva tour, we will be quite tired, so spending a night in this beautiful city will be a welcome break. This way, we can rest and perhaps even dream of traveling back to the ancient Khiva of centuries past.

Day 4: Journey to Bukhara

After an exquisite Uzbek breakfast, we embark on a journey through the desert, just like the caravans of the Silk Road. While we won’t be traveling on the backs of camels like the ancient caravans, we will experience our own Silk Road adventure in the comfort of a private vehicle. Along the way, we will admire rural landscapes and the desert, stopping at authentic locations with the guidance of our tour guide. Finally, we will arrive in Bukhara.

Day 5: Bukhara Tour

On the evening of the 4th day, we will reach our hotel in Bukhara. On the 5th day of our tour, after having breakfast at the hotel, we will start our visits in Bukhara, a UNESCO World Heritage site:

  • Ismail Samani Mausoleum
  • Chashma Ayub (Job’s Well)
  • Po-i-Kalyan complex
  • Kalon Minaret and Mosque
  • Mir-i Arab Medrese
  • Ark Fortress

Day 6: Samarkand Tour

On the evening of the 5th day, we will depart from Bukhara and arrive in Samarkand. After checking into our hotel, those who want to rest can stay at the hotel, while others may want to start exploring the city right away.

In the morning, after an early breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the following sites:

  • Registan Square
  • Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum (Tomb of Tamerlane)
  • Bibi-Khanym Mosque
  • Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis
  • Imam Bukhari Mausoleum
  • Mausoleum of Daniel
  • Mausoleum of Imam Maturidi

After our visits, we will return to the hotel to rest, then gather for dinner at an authentic Uzbek restaurant. We will spend the night at our hotel in Samarkand.

Day 7: Samarkand – Istanbul

In the morning, we will depart for Samarkand Airport by private vehicle. After completing ticket, passport, and baggage procedures, we will board Turkish Airlines flight TK 373 at 05:45 for our return to Istanbul.
