Travel Programme
ROUTE
- We start our tour by picking up our bicycles, helmets, and necessary equipment from Reviva Tourism’s office in Galata. Since we are in Galata, we take a photo next to the Galata Tower before starting our tour.
- After Karaköy, we continue our route through Dolmabahçe, Beşiktaş, and Ortaköy (where we will take a break and have a “kumpir,” a baked potato dish). We then pass through Kuruçeşme and Arnavutköy before reaching Bebek. At Bebek Park, we take a short break after a few rounds of cycling. Ahead of us, there are Rumelihisarı, Baltalimanı, Emirgan, İstinye, Yeniköy, Tarabya, Kireçburnu, and Sarıyer, nearly reaching the shores of the Black Sea. We suggest turning back from Sarıyer because this route can be tiring for those who don’t cycle frequently due to its length. Yeniköy has some excellent bicycle-friendly cafes, making it a suitable place for a break on the way back, but we can also stop elsewhere, such as Kireç Burnu.
- Remember our promise for “kumpir”? Then, no stopping until we reach Ortaköy. Once we arrive in Ortaköy, we secure our bicycles and place our orders for “kumpir.” After enjoying our “kumpir,” we savor the fantastic view of Ortaköy. Don’t forget to take photos, of course.
- After Ortaköy, we pick up the pace and head back to Karaköy. Thankfully, Sultan Abdülaziz granted permission for the construction of the Tünel in 1869. Now, after this long Bosphorus tour, it’s our natural right to enjoy the world’s second-oldest metro.
- After reaching Tünel and Tünel Square, we take a group photo after a final tour, return our bicycles, and bid farewell.
